Important: By using Sharing The Day, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Service Description
Sharing The Day ("we," "us," "our") provides a comprehensive wedding and event photo/video collection platform that enables:
- Multi-Cloud Storage Integration: Upload photos and videos directly to Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox
- Event Management: Create and manage photo collection events with custom URLs and QR codes
- Guest Upload System: Secure file upload interface for event guests with message capabilities
- Gallery and Download Features: Photo galleries, individual file downloads, and bulk download options
- Tier-Based Service: Free demo mode, Single Event, Premium, and Pro subscription tiers
- Guest Message System: Canvas-generated message cards uploaded alongside photos
- Real-Time Streaming: Direct file streaming to cloud storage without server-side storage
2. Account Registration and Eligibility
Eligibility:
- You must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
- You must provide accurate and complete information
- You are responsible for maintaining account security
- One person may not maintain multiple accounts
Account Responsibilities:
- Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- You are responsible for all activities under your account
3. Cloud Storage Integration
Supported Providers:
- Google Drive: OAuth 2.0 integration with Google APIs
- Microsoft OneDrive: Microsoft Graph API with MSAL authentication
- Dropbox: OAuth 2.0 integration with Dropbox API
Authorization and Access:
- You authorize us to access your chosen cloud storage provider using OAuth 2.0/MSAL
- We only access folders and files that our application creates for your events
- You can revoke access at any time through your cloud provider's account settings
- Each provider requires separate authorization and has different API implementations
Your Cloud Storage:
- Files are uploaded directly to YOUR cloud storage account (Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox)
- You maintain full ownership and control of all uploaded files
- Your cloud provider's storage limits and policies apply
- We are not responsible for cloud provider service interruptions or data loss
- Different providers may have different file handling capabilities and limitations
4. User Conduct and Content
Acceptable Use:
- Use the service for legitimate photo/video sharing purposes
- Respect intellectual property rights of others
- Do not upload illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content
- Do not attempt to compromise service security or functionality
Prohibited Content:
- Copyrighted material without permission
- Illegal, harmful, threatening, or abusive content
- Content that violates others' privacy or rights
- Malicious software, viruses, or harmful code
- Spam, excessive uploads, or service abuse
5. Service Availability and Limitations
Service Availability:
- We strive for high availability but don't guarantee 100% uptime
- Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features
Technical Limitations:
- File size limits: No limits - constrained only by your cloud storage space and provider limits
- Concurrent uploads: Limited to 10 simultaneous uploads per user to maintain system stability
- Upload timeout: 2 hours per file to accommodate large videos on slower connections
- Supported formats:
- Images: JPEG, PNG, GIF, HEIC, HEIF, WebP, BMP, TIFF, SVG, AVIF, JXL, RAW camera formats (CR2, CRW, NEF, ARW, DNG, ORF, RAF, DCR)
- Videos: MP4, MOV, AVI, WebM, MKV, 3GP, M4V, OGG, WMV, FLV, MTS, M2TS, TS, and other professional formats
- Archives: ZIP, 7Z for bulk uploads
- Service Tiers:
- Free: Demo mode with sample data only (0 connected events)
- Single Event: 1 connected cloud storage event ($30)
- Premium: 2 connected cloud storage events ($50)
- Pro: 5 connected cloud storage events + additional events purchasable ($70)
6. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand:
- What information we collect and why (account data, OAuth tokens, file metadata, usage statistics)
- How we protect your data with AES-256-GCM encryption, HTTPS enforcement, and comprehensive security measures
- Your rights regarding your information and data access
- How we handle multi-cloud provider integration (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox)
- Our OAuth security features: automatic token refresh, secure memory clearing, redirect URI validation
- Rate limiting and authentication protections (10 requests per 15 minutes on auth endpoints)
- Automated data retention and GDPR-compliant cleanup policies
- Payment processing through Stripe integration
- Request ID tracking for security auditing and incident response
7. Intellectual Property Rights
Your Content:
- You retain all rights to photos and videos you upload
- You grant us limited rights to facilitate the service
- You represent that you have rights to all uploaded content
Our Service:
- We own all rights to the service platform and code
- You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer our service
- Our trademarks and branding are our property
8. Liability and Disclaimers
Service Provided "As Is":
- We provide the service without warranties of any kind
- We do not guarantee error-free or uninterrupted service
- We are not responsible for data loss, corruption, or cloud provider issues
- Cloud provider outages, API changes, or service interruptions are beyond our control
- Different cloud providers may have varying reliability and performance characteristics
Limitation of Liability:
- Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- You use the service at your own risk
- Maximum liability limited to the amount paid for the service in the 12 months prior to the claim
- We are not responsible for third-party cloud provider data policies or security breaches
Important: Always maintain backup copies of important files. While we strive for reliability, technical issues can occur.
9. Account Termination and Data Retention
By You:
- You may delete your account at any time through the account settings
- Deleting your account removes access but files remain in your cloud storage
- You can revoke cloud provider access independently through provider settings
- Account deletion removes all event data and OAuth tokens from our systems
Automated Cleanup (GDPR Compliant):
- Free Tier Accounts: Automatically deleted after 2 years (730 days) of no login activity, with cascade deletion of all events and data
- Paid Tier Accounts (Single Event, Premium, Pro): Protected from automatic deletion - only removed by manual request
- Photo Metadata: Retained indefinitely as this is a permanent wedding photo service
- OAuth Tokens: Retained indefinitely and automatically refreshed when they expire
- Error Logs: Automatically removed after 30 days
By Us:
- We may suspend/terminate accounts that violate these terms
- We may terminate service with 30 days' notice for operational reasons
- We will provide opportunity to export data before termination
- Accounts may be suspended for payment failures (paid tiers)
- Immediate termination may occur for security threats or abuse
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms of Service from time to time:
- Changes will be posted with updated effective date
- Significant changes will be communicated via email
- Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
- If you don't agree to changes, you should stop using the service
11. Dispute Resolution

- Please contact us first to resolve any issues
- Most problems can be resolved through communication
- We're committed to fair and reasonable solutions
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where our service operates. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with local laws and regulations.
